Tube ice machine is an efficient ice-making equipment that freezes water into hollow cylindrical ice (tube ice) on the inner wall of vertically arranged metal tubes through a refrigeration system. The ice typically has a diameter of 25-50mm and a length of 50-100mm. Its working principle involves a water pump circulating water into the evaporator tube bundle, where the refrigerant outside the tubes directly evaporates and absorbs heat, causing the water inside the tubes to freeze. Subsequently, hot gas is injected to remove the ice, which falls off due to gravity into the ice storage bin. Tube ice features large contact area, fast cooling speed, and low adhesion, making it widely used in aquatic product preservation, food processing, chemical cooling, supermarket cold chain, and other fields. Modern tube ice machines adopt intelligent control systems, offering advantages such as high efficiency and energy saving (COP up to 3.0 or above), high automation, and 24-hour continuous ice production (electricity consumption per ton of ice is about 60-80kWh). They are one of the mainstream choices for industrial ice-making.
